Logan and Jonathan’s wedding was easy, like Sunday morning. It was filled with all of my Sunday favorites – food, family, faith, friends and fun. The most special moment was when the entire congregation of guests joined in singing the couple’s favorite hymn. It was a truly touching moment. Theirs was my first wedding in Alabama at Bridge Street Gallery. It’s a lovely warehouse venue set in Birmingham. I hope to return soon! Photography by Abby Bates. Florals by Attached to the Vine.
Brittany and Matthias! Where do I begin? I worked with this gorgeous couple for over a year in planning their chic and elegant wedding at Ventanas. Matthias’s family is from Germany, and it was important to bring his heritage together with Brittany’s. There were so many personal touches incorporated into their big day. From the guest book map reflecting their love of travel, to the cutting of the sheet – a German tradition, to the German pretzel passed late night treats. And the helicopter send-off at the end of the night cannot be topped as a gran exit! Photography by Once Like a Spark
Brenna & Ryan were married on a beautiful yet chilly day in February at The Stables at Foxhall. Their wedding was vibrant and bold with a jewel toned color palette. It was romantic, elegant and everything you want in a winter wedding. Brenna’s mink stole was the perfect wintery touch at this sporting venue. Floral and Catering by Bold Events. Kristin and Carl’s wedding was all about the details. They put their personal touch into everything from the inviting welcome table to the handmade head table runner to the champagne gummy bear favors and event the light sabers at the send off. Their wedding was uniquely theirs. And Greystone at Piedmont Park was the perfect backdrop for their elegant fall wedding. Photography by Trey Mosier Florals by Faith Flowers
Ruthie and Antonio are people that just make you feel good when you are with them. They are filled with so much joy and love for each other which really shows in these images. And Ruthie’s laugh is so infectious that I’m smiling thinking about it now. Their wedding was a great example of classic elegance that never goes out of style. Photography by LaJoy Photography. Kaela & Jeremiah’s wedding at King Plow Arts Center was picture perfect. The touches of succulents throughout were Kaela’s signature and right on-trend. Kaela & Jeremiah are such a gorgeous couple, and they were a joy to work with. Kaela’s mother, Lajuana, was also very involved in the planning. I loved getting to know the whole family, and it was a pleasure to make their wedding day a dream come true. Photography by Once Like a Spark Catering, Floral and Design by Bold Catering & Design
Kelly & Brian’s wedding was just beautiful. Dreamlike, ethereal, and romantic are just a few of the words that come to mind looking at these photos. I love the combination of soft colors in the florals with the glow of the natural candlelight. And the black and white portraits of Kelly & Brian…simply gorgeous! Photography by Leigh + Becca. Shannon was by far the most organized bride I’ve worked with. And she has the most infectious smile! They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. If that’s true, this couple will be lucky beyond measure. Congratulations Shannon, Andy and your families! Photography by Mark & Anna Catering and Florals by Bold Catering & Design
Kenna and Andi were the perfect example of how to seamlessly blend different cultures while maintaining a cohesive look. With details like chopstix for guest favors and Kenna’s traditional Asian reception dress combined with rustic elegance found in the florals and venue this wedding was simply beautiful. Amelia and Raymond were a pleasure to work with. Over the planning process I enjoyed getting to know them and their beautiful children. Cheers to many years together! Photos by Jack Parada Photography.
Planning a wedding and being in a wedding are separately important things to do. But to do them both at the same time can be a little crazy. The exception…when it is your sister you are doing the planning for. Photos by Bre Sessions Photography . Catering and Event Design/Floral by Bold Catering & Design.
